For PJ Zitarosa it all started while studying music at The City College in NYC. PJ has studied with some of the best: Oz Noy, Alex Skolnick, & Vic Juris.  While attending City College, PJ was offered his first International tour with Geffen recording artist Danny Vaughn/Tyketto.  PJ decided to put school on hold to pursue an education traveling the globe.

PJ has performed throughout the USA, Canada, and Internationally throughout Europe with numerous original acts and tribute cover acts.

Original acts: Tyketto, Danny Vaughn, Brother Love, Jon Jones.
Cover / Tribute acts: Bad Medicine, The Bowie Show, Neil and The Diamonds.

In 1996 PJ set his mind on a career as a working established musician.  From the beginning PJ's insatiable appetite for new musical experiences led him to explore many genre's. He drew on other idioms as well: metal, hard rock, ska, blues, and jazz.  He worked with Ska, Funk, Reggae band Hyperactive, and this experience was an important part of his growth process, in that it would expose PJ to the heavy ska funk scene of Philadelphia PA. Soon after that he was approached by the CEO of 107 Production's, Michael Arbeeny and was offered a gig with one of his A list touring cover bands in New Jersey, New Power Soul. This project is a 9 piece r&b / rock act, and they have played along side Jon Bon Jovi, and Southside Johnny. They work throughout the Tri - State area and New England, playing private functions, resorts, and club/bar dates.  New Power Soul holds an annual event for 3 years running, at New York City's Waldorf Astoria's Grand Ballroom, for the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

While working along side Michael Arbeeny, PJ was also working hard recording and touring with former Geffen recording artist Danny Vaughn. PJ recorded 2 studio albums with Vaughn under the engineering expertise of Paul Orofino @ Millbrook Sound Studio's in NY, and a live record, recorded at The Cavern in Liverpool, U.K.  While working alongside Danny Vaughn PJ has toured throughout the U.S., The United Kingdom, Scotland, Ireland, The Netherlands & Europe and has performed at numerous A list venues and open air festivals. Touring nationally and internationally has helped PJ acquire the skills needed to stay active in today's entertainment world.  PJ's appetite for mastering his instrument keeps him pushing his own boundaries, and his versatility allows him to play a wide array of genres.  PJ also writes music jingles for syncfreemusic and audiobrain.
